The "Wandering Coyote" Teen Wilderness Camp
July 18-21, 2008
For adventurous boys and girls ages 14-18 years old
This summer spend 4 days and 3 nights camping out under the stars as we
make fire, shelter, and tools from what nature provides. Experience the
freedom and timelessness of survival camping as we live simply carrying only
what we need. We will practice techniques of moving silently and unseen
through the forest along with foraging for wild edible plants. Eventually we
will become familiar with the animals, plants, and sounds of the forest.

If you can make your home anywhere, then
anywhere is your home

We will set up a base camp that will become
more and more primitive as time goes on.
Slowly we will shed our dependence on modern
gear and conveniences and enter into the world
of the wild!

Learn to live outdoors as the native scouts once did...
carrying few tools and equipment, alert to what the signs of the forest are telling you,
and moving without detection.
